We construct from paper clips. To avoid getting bored at home, let's learn how to make crafts from paper clips! Crafts from paper clips for children

You don't have to be a professional designer to create fun and cute things. And if you don't know what you can do with a regular paper clip, others will tell you. Moreover, you don’t need anything other than your own hands! Just paper clips.

We don’t talk about handmade things very often, but this topic is extremely important. Everything that a person creates with his own hands is worthy of praise and encouragement, even if it is just one movement of his hand. The main thing here is to demonstrate your creative abilities, which are given to each of us. It's funny, but this is not the first time we are talking about such a small thing as paper clips. With the help of them you can teach, express, and now also confess your love. Moreover, the idea is so simple to implement that you don’t even have to try or work hard. Even though Valentine's Day has passed, that doesn't mean hearts are no longer interesting. After all, it is much more pleasant to fasten documents with heart-shaped paper clips than with regular ones? If the pink color bothers you, then you can take absolutely any, even black. As the author says, you just need to fold the paperclip in such a way that it takes on such a triangular shape.

When we attach it to paper, it becomes like a heart! It would seem like the simplest step, but you still need to think about it. It hasn't occurred to me yet, but there are probably other ways to "fold" paper clips into something cute. I think friends and colleagues will be surprised to see important documents, a report or a whole bunch of papers fastened in this way... Try it!

If it’s raining outside and it’s completely impossible to go out for a walk, then you should look for entertainment at home. But what to do if the apartment is in perfect order, dinner is ready, and you’re tired of TV? Perhaps you should get creative and make some crafts. By the way, you can involve the whole family in this interesting activity and have fun.

You can make crafts from anything, for example, try making crafts from paper clips, and if you don’t know how, then read the article, it will contain some interesting ideas.

Flower made from paper clips

The simplest thing you can make from paper clips is a bouquet that will not only please the eye, but also perform a practical function and be responsible for the safety of office supplies.

To make beautiful flowers you will need the following items:

  • Colored paper clips (2-3 boxes), choose shades to suit your taste;
  • 2 sheets of A4 paper;
  • Glue, scissors, compass.

If everything is ready, then you can start making crafts from colored paper clips:

  1. On one sheet of A4 format, draw 4 circles with a compass: 2 large ones of the same radius and 2 smaller ones (with a difference of about 3 cm). If you are doing creative work with a small child, then instead of a compass for drawing circles, use cups of different diameters;
  2. Armed with scissors, cut out the drawn circles. By the way, if you have colored paper or cardboard at home, then blanks can be made from these materials;
  3. Now coat two large round blanks with glue and connect them together;
  4. Use the remaining sheet of paper to make a flower stem. It should turn out flat, and to hold it better, coat it with glue;
  5. Now place the stem on the glued circles, but not on the edge, but so that it lies along the entire diameter. This will make the flower more stable;
  6. You have a blank that somewhat resembles a tennis racket, but that’s not all. On the large circle you need to stick a smaller circle. In this case, apply glue only to the center of the leaf, and the edges should be in free “flight”. The smallest circle is attached in the same way;
  7. The paper flower is ready, now you need to use paper clips to make colored petals and a beautiful stem. To do this, multi-colored stationery is placed along the free edges of three paper circles, and green paper clips are attached to an improvised stem.

After all the manipulations, the flower is ready, it will look very good in the organizer on your desktop, and to prevent the paper clip craft from falling, it is recommended to press it down a little with a ruler.

In principle, if you make a flower not with 3, but with 2 circles of paper clips, then it will be more stable.

Making a garland

Using paper clips, you can make a very attractive garland with your own hands, which will certainly decorate the room for any occasion. To make such beauty, you will not need many available materials: scissors, bright sheets of paper, magazines and any thick printed materials, glue and paper clips will do.

Now you can make a garland:

By the way, if desired, the decoration can be made in several rows. And using paper clips of different sizes, you can create a very interesting garland.

It is worth noting that diligent women make curtains using this principle, and children make funny bracelets for themselves and friends.

Making Christmas toys

Using paper clips you can make cute Christmas decorations in the shape of figure skating skates.

To bring your creative idea to life, you will need the following materials:

  1. Felt in different shades;
  2. Beads or sequins;
  3. A sheet of paper and a pencil;
  4. Large paper clips;
  5. Thin ribbons;
  6. Glue;
  7. Thread and needle.

On a piece of paper, draw a skate, but without a blade, one shoe. Cut out the stencil and then transfer the image onto felt.

Before cutting out the image from the fabric, fold it in half so that you can later make a real skate. There is no need to cut anything in the middle. After cutting, you should get two skates in a mirror image.

Place a paper clip in the middle of the felt blank, then sew the edges of the future toy. Do this with large stitches, using threads of a color that matches the fabric.

Attach beads or sequins to both sides of the sewn product with glue; they will serve as improvised holes for the laces.

The final touch remains, sew a thin ribbon to the felt skate and you will get a wonderful toy for the Christmas tree.

By the way, such decorations can be prepared for a child’s birthday if the child is interested in hockey. This will help make a themed holiday.

As you can see, DIY crafts made from paper clips can be varied. Everything is limited only by your imagination and desire. Don’t be afraid to imagine and create, you will succeed, good luck!

What do needlewomen come up with! If you arrange an exhibition in hand-made style, you can see many different masterpieces. Almost any available materials are used for craftsmanship. Today we will make crafts from paper clips. Let's start by finding out how to make a heart out of a paper clip.

Handicraft box

Today you will learn how to make a heart shaped paperclip. There is nothing complicated about this. This kind of activity, as they say, is a jack-of-all-trades out of boredom. You can take a moment to be creative while working in the office, college, or in class at school.

To construct a heart, paper clips of any size are suitable, but only with a rounded edge. It will not be possible to make a heart from triangular and rectangular paper clips.

Paperclip hearts are mainly used as bookmarks. This invention can also be used to decorate a romantic souvenir for your significant other.

For work we will need multi-colored paper clips. If you have regular metal stationery on hand, you can paint it with decorative nail polish. For example, red varnish will apply evenly and adhere well to a paper clip.

Heart as a gift

Making a heart from a paper clip is very simple step by step; you do not need any additional tools or materials. Just a paper clip. Now we will tell you how to make a heart bookmark from a paper clip. You can make several multi-colored figures at once. They hold together the pages of a book, diary or planner very well. The fairer sex and children will love this craft.

  • colored paper clips.

Option for kids

You can make an original heart-shaped bookmark from a large paper clip. Just two or three movements - and your book will be decorated with a beautiful heart. Children will be happy to make this craft.

Required materials and tools:

  • large paper clip.

Step-by-step description of the creative process:

  1. Place the paperclip in front of you in a vertical position. The smaller part should be at the bottom.
  2. Now we grab both loops of the paper clip and stretch them in opposite directions.
  3. The loop that has formed at the bottom will be the base of the bookmark.
  4. Then we need to connect the free ends of the paper clip.
  5. We hold the upper curves with our fingers and connect them in the center. The bookmark is ready.

If you cannot curb the fountain of your creative abilities, here is another interesting idea for the craftswoman. We will need multi-colored paper clips. At the end of such a chain you can attach a heart that you have already made. There will be an original double bookmark. It is easy to fix.

Children can use this chain as a toy decoration. Young princesses will love this invention.

Necessary materials:

  • colored paper clips;
  • a nail or pencil with a diameter of 0.6-0.7 cm.

Step-by-step description of the creative process:

One morning I woke up with a new idea for a project in my head. I lay in bed thinking about the presentation I had to give to middle and high school labor teachers in a couple of weeks. I wanted to come up with simple, inexpensive projects that they could use to teach schoolchildren some aspects of technology. I really hoped that my ideas would inspire them to create their own. All night I dreamed about how I made various devices from paper clips, and this is how this project was born. Regarding the cost, a piece of wood and paper clips cost me about 15 rubles.

I was already working on several projects at the time, so it took a couple of months of thinking before I actually sat down at my desk with a stack of paper clips and started trying to make something out of them. While I was busy with other projects, I thought through the design and manufacturing process of my car parts, as well as how to assemble them. To do this I needed very few tools and materials. I thought the process would be pretty simple. Clamping mechanisms are very interesting to create, and it is also interesting to “play” with them later. It seems to me that the sculptural forms of these creatures are also a kind of art.

For educators, this project is a great way to teach children the physics of mechanical machines, including concepts such as levers, knees, pivot points, circular motion, and linear motion. Products from this project can be used as a miniature working model or as a prototype in the production of various designs. Also, similar mechanisms can be used for students studying energy. I was greatly helped by a project like this, in which groups of participants, as well as individual inventors, created individual mechanisms and then connected them together to create a chain reaction. It seemed to me that something similar could be done with fastening mechanisms. This will give each student the opportunity to create their own part of the general mechanism, and then connect everything into a large chain, and also simulate a chain reaction.

This video shows how I constructed my mechanism using paper clips:

Step 1: Such a versatile paperclip

As a lifelong Maker, I've always loved taking apart even the simplest appliances. At meetings, I constantly disassemble and reassemble my pen. In the cafe I constantly play with my straw and the wrapper in which it was brought. One of my favorite things to do is play with paper clips. I have always been fascinated by their original but simple form, as well as their operating principle. I know it's just a piece of wire bent a certain way and nothing more. My quick internet search reveals that I'm not the only paperclip fan. My fellow community members have already posted a ton of paperclip projects. These include toy helicopters, and even chandeliers of various geometric shapes. I have seen master keys, catapults and trebuchets. So my post will be just another item on the list of what can be created from paper clips.

Step 2: What you will need.

From this we will create today:
- A box of large paper clips (mine were made from 1mm diameter wire).
- Two small pieces of wood. I purchased two samples of flooring from my local hardware store. Each one cost me no more than 10 rubles.
- A pair of wire cutters and a pair of long-nosed pliers. I recommend the ones pictured above. If you have a pair of long round pliers with a cutting edge, those will work too.
- A couple of drills for 0.8, 1.0 and 1.2 mm.
- A grinder with a cutting wheel to cut off one of the drills.
- Drill to drill holes in wood. Hand or electric drill - it doesn't matter.
- A small ruler and pencil for measuring and marking holes.

NOTE: You can use other sizes of paper clips. Small paper clips are easier to bend, but the structure will also be smaller due to the shorter length of the wire of each element. Also, for different size paper clips you will need different drill bits.

Step 3: Make a device for bending paper clips.

Using a grinder, cut two pieces from the unsharpened end of a 1.2 mm drill. One segment should be approximately 10 mm, and the second - 20 mm. Grind down the edges to make them smoother using a grinder.

Drill a 1.0mm hole in one of the pieces of wood. The hole depth should be 8mm so that the 10mm section of the drill bit protrudes 2.0mm above the wood. The metal should fit tightly into the wood.

Make a second 1.0mm hole of the same depth approximately 1mm from the first. The thickness of the paper clip should fit tightly between two metal posts. Push the 20mm length firmly into the wood.

Step 4: Practice twisting the coils.

Almost all the parts we'll have to make will have one or more turns, so it's best to practice and learn how to do them well.
- Use pliers to completely straighten the paper clip.
- Place the paperclip between the two drill bits of your bending jig that we built in the previous step.
- Carefully wrap the paper clip around the longer post, while the short one will simply hold the wire in place.
- Continue rotating the paperclip around the long piece of drill bit until you have 4 turns of wire around it.
- Carefully remove the twisted paper clip from the bending “machine” and check the turns. They should fit snugly against each other. If the turns do not turn out even and tight, practice some more.

Here's how to do it:

Step 5: Making various details.

Here is the complete set of paperclip parts I made for this design. There is a connecting rod, two-legged and four-legged supports, connectors and levers of different shapes and sizes. There could be an endless number of other details and modifications. The choice is limited only by your imagination.
The second photo below shows each part with its name.

Step 6: Make a base to install the machine.

I used one piece of wood for the bending jig and the other for assembling my invention. I first tested the assembly on the back side, and once I had everything debugged and measured, I began drilling holes on the front side. The beautiful texture of the finish looks very advantageous for the base of the machine.

I used a 0.8mm drill bit to make 10mm deep holes in the wood for each of the supports. A little pressure with pliers, and the legs of the supports are in place. I think you could make a lot of holes in a grid pattern like on electronic boards. This way you can easily change the position of the supports in the assembly, testing and debugging the design. I decided to drill holes only where needed, as it looked better to me.

Step 7: Assembling the structure on the fly

AND Ideas for rest and relaxation of office workers.
Some Western companies came to the conclusion that office worker needs to be done from time to timeshort breaks

And take a break from your immediate responsibilities for rest and unloading.
The advice is to take up some simple game, preferably collectively. At these moments it is removed operating voltage,
there are jokes and thus, is unintentionally created warm atmosphere, which helps team building. And this in turn will lead to more productive work in the future.

Your attention Several ideas are proposed that can be used for a short respite for office workers.
